The Notion of a Casual Post
What is there to blog about when it seems, to me at least, like the theme of family travel / living abroad is being exhausted? Is that even possible? This planet is HUGE! There are so many hidden gems, and so many families and individuals having amazing and unique experiences. Could this theme ever actually become passé?
This is what I am thinking about today, March 15th at 11:12 am (Taiwan time) in Roaster’s Dream Coffee Shop, Hsinchu Taiwan.
I’ve tried to conjure Top Ten lists or What’s Hot and What’s Not posts, and it just doesn’t feel right. For me.
So here is my question to you…
What do YOU want to read about?
What do the people want to know? I think about this a lot. I peruse blogs and often I feel a sense of disappointment by the emotional distance between the author and myself. What are you feeling? How is it really going over there? What is a day in your shoes really like?
I love writing updates to my friends and family. I love Skyping to them and giving them first hand accounts of what’s going on here. Of what’s going well and what’s not going well. Of my stress and of my joy.
So with this in mind, how about, if once a month, I simply try posting a regular, casual Letourneau family update?
Let’s give it a try a see where we go from here!
